Dear Sisters, Brothers and Visitors –
The Grand Chapter of British Columbia and Yukon is celebrating our 100th Anniversary this year and as the 100th Worthy Grand Matron and Worthy Grand Patron it is indeed a privilege and our pleasure to welcome you to our jurisdiction’s Official Website.
We hope that the members of our Jurisdiction will benefit from the information provided here, that it will assist members of other Grand Jurisdictions, and will promote a better understanding of the Order of the Eastern Star to non-members everywhere. To each of you, we extend a heartfelt “Welcome”!
It is the service of willingness to give your best to the Order, the service of helpfulness without criticism that fulfills the ideals of our Order. Brother Alex Reid and I welcome you, not only because of the fraternal ties that bind us together, but for the mutual uplift that this Order should have upon us, bearing in mind that this Order of the Eastern Star will be to each of us, just what we make it.
Ours will be the 101st “New Beginnings” Session in 2012 and we are excited to look forward to the next century, while honouring and celebrating our first 100 years. “New Beginnings” is a season of renewal and reinvention. Our aim is to grow into wisdom through knowledge and to uphold our motto of “To be the best that you can be”! We want to extend the hand of friendship to each of you with faith, hope and love while uniting and working together in harmony.
